Tour du Rwanda (by J&H)

On Sunday we went to church and had to rush back home to see Tour du Rwanda. We had to park the car at the bottom gate because the traffic was stopped and everyone was crowded around our gate and standing on the walls.

The cyclists had to come up the hill past the smoothie shop and round the corner towards our house. We stood outside with Sylvester and cheered for Rwanda. We also stood on the balcony outside Naomi's room and Jemima took the pictures from there.

On the penultimate round (the cyclists went past our house about five times) it started pouring with rain, lighting flashed and thunder roared. Jemima and I went on N's balcony again and splashed around in the water.

Then we went out onto the street again and all the Rwandans booed the other countries because it was the final round. All of the Rwandan cyclists were cheered, and then Sylvester told us that Rwanda had won. All the Rwandans started dancing and shouting.
