Victoria writes...On the Saturday after Christmas we boarded our first plane since the trip over to HK from the UK, for a mere three and a half hour journey to Singapore. As I sorted out bags and other children I put Naomi on the seat across the aisle and she proceeded to wee through her nappy and clothes to make quite a puddle just in time for the arrival of the occupant of the seat. After that things got better and with the help of lots of Christmas chocolate we arrived in warm, green Singapore.
It was lovely to change from temperatures of chilly 15 to balmy 25 and Singapore seems a lot less crowded and frenetic than Hong Kong which was a welcome break.
We stayed in a flat in a complex with a pool, playpark, cafe and shop and a good supply of taxis and we really enjoyed seeing all the sights of Singapore: a river cruise in the centre of town; a day at the zoo; an evening at the night safari; an open-top bus to see the Christmas lights; a couple of great museums; it was thoroughly exhausting but great fun.
