Akagera Game Lodge (by H)

On Monday we left for Akagera in the morning and arrived at about lunchtime. We drove around and saw lots of wild animals. We also saw lots of signs of elephants but didn't see any. In the afternoon we went to Akagera Game Lodge and as soon as we arrived they gave us juice. We went to our rooms and then we went for a swim in the pool and played water basketball. Then we went to the giraffe area where there were no giraffes. On our way back past the lake we lost our way so we had to ask for help. We had to get back by 6 because it is then that it gets dark. We had to drive fast and got back to the lodge just in time. Then we went to bed. In the morning I woke up to the sound of the birds and baboons (there were loads of baboons and monkeys that could climb over the fence). Naomi woke up and then we suddenly heard a screeching noise. It was the baboons being chased away. After that the monkeys started fighting the baboons. Then we saw a three-legged monkey on the balcony. When everybody was awake Daddy, Jemima and I went to the restaurant to have breakfast (it was about 05:30). We were given juice and then they took our order. I ordered bacon and eggs, fruit and croisant. It was delicious. Then Daddy, Jemima and Naomi had an early morning swim. When they had finished swimming we went to see some more animals and then went home.
