Chickens...again! ( by N & H )

On Sunday we got some new chickens. These are local hens. There is a baby and the five older ones sometimes peck it. They have laid us 4 eggs so far. We just got them some corn and they quite like it!
We have a black one and it used to fight with the others but we put it out with the others and it got used to them. We used to put it in the top box so that it wouldn't fight with the others!
There is one that used to have a bad leg because when it is sold at the market they tie their legs together.
We have a compost heap so that the chickens can peck around when they want, and then if they peck at it then they can help to make some good soil!
