Chicken update (by H)

In March we got two more chickens. Sylvestre our guard turned up at the gate one day with a bearded chicken. We went to the gate to pay the man (who had been going to eat her) and he had another one so we saved her life too. Beardy hasn't laid any eggs but the other one (Oldie) has laid five so far. Our other five hens are still going strong; Baby is the biggest and heaviest of all of them now and we're hoping she might start laying this week. We're getting nearly three eggs per day on average at the moment.
